A transformation-based quirk, KATASTERISMOI enables Tamaki to draw power from the moon. During the night, she may use her powers freely as long as she remains within view of the moon or choose to store power. She cannot simultaneously store and use this energy. In the day, the uptime of her quirk is limited by how much lunar energy she currently has stored and how much power she outputs in each attack.[break][break]

With the lunar energy stored within her body, Tamaki tends to take on minor features bearing resemblance to a dragon, specifically in her horns, tail and occasional patches of scales that seem to meld with skin. In this form, the scales are able to prevent accidental cuts at best while her tail can probably hit as hard as a normal punch. Her horns might be able to provide some defense for her head but are likely to break with the force of a thrown brick. Coming into contact with her blood might cause a minor sting but nothing remarkably bad will occur.[break][break]

Tapping upon the scorn of the moon, Tamaki can circulate the energy within her body instead, enabling her to transform into a creature based on an existing constellation. Depending on the form taken, she is granted any combination of increased offensive capabilities, attacks that deals additional burn damage over time or flight.[break][break]

Ursa Major - Witness the soul of the scorned ursine, Tamaki transforms into a bear with a rough pelt and tougher claws and teeth. Her slashes can leave cosmic gashes that eat at exposed flesh whilst any blood or fur shed may burn upon contact. These lose a majority of their burning capabilities once she loses her transformation.[break][break]

Draco - Tamaki channels energy to take on the appearance of a dragon, she is capable of flight and can exhale a dragon breath that splashes outwards in a cone. In this form, her scales and horns are much tougher than her untransformed state, allowing her to cut and slam objects with increased effectiveness.[break][break]

Burning Bright // Drawbacks[break]
A mortal cannot simply be a star - Injuries sustained whilst untransformed will stretch and strain with the size and body structure of the chosen constellation. On the other hand, injuries sustained while in her transformed state will carry over when she transforms back, and her own blood will burn her both internally and externally until she stops the bleeding.[break][break]

Furthermore, each constellation form carries different weak points based on lore and reality that may be exploited. However, even without said knowledge, the constants are always the head and the heart.

Thou Shalt Not Die // Support // B-[break]
To exercise patience, to maintain concentration, to be precise. A battlefield does not always allow for a safe space, nor will it let up on casualties. When faced with injuries, Tamaki is able to carry out impromptu treatment on herself and others, temporarily fixing bones and stitching up wounds. Even so, there is only so much she can do as treating animals can differ so much from treating humanoids. There are things that she can't treat as well as proper doctors and she's most certainly not able to carry out large procedures on herself.[break][break]

Materia Medica // Manufacturing // C[break]
Even medicines can be poisons with improper mixtures or dosages. Tamaki understands the pharmaceutical nature of various chemicals and in turn, may synthesise medication and harmful drugs that do not conform to industry standards. Sure they may be effective, but at what cost?[break][break]

Characters can try to acquire such goods from the underground, but no one really knows who produces it. Only those who garner vigilante Cepheid's trust may one day hope to meet her.[break][break]

Blades and Bulwarks // Offense // C-[break]
Horns, claws, tail and teeth - The traits of a dragon can be seen in Tamaki's day to day ventures. As such, she has developed a fighting style that best utilises these features to her advantage. While untransformed, it's noted that her combat style is strong and somewhat fast; As compared to her transformed state, where her strength increases significantly but her speed seems to decrease to accommodate her larger sweeping movements.

A mere 5'3, Tatsuko barely stands out within a crowd and does her very best not to. Unlike the main characters of many stories, she possesses brown hair and honey eyes. The only thing that mars her appearance is the very apparent scar over her right eye. As for the story behind it...[break][break]

Try as she might to be brave, Tatsu is a girl that cries and apologises too easily, especially when placed under pressure. She will rarely thrive in confrontation or awkward situations, often finding hatred when left to deal with a problem alone. Though it is hard to befriend her, people can slowly work their way into her timid heart. And the moment that they succeed in getting her to call them a friend, she will be loyal to them and always help them in times of need.[break][break]

Born to be a successor to a prestigious hero family but ultimately scorned for her quirk, Tatsuko faced a mother drowning in tears and a father that would never look at her again. Whilst her mother tried her best to comfort and shelter her, her father would turn his sights to the next in line, her younger brother Setsu. Home never felt like home again, their parents torn apart by their expectations, the ego of her sibling fed as he began to pick on her for her shortcomings.[break][break]

Be still, be seen but never heard - These ideas would be carved into her as the years went by, the lustre she'd once carried as the pride of the family now lost to self-doubt. But perhaps, she'd never lost that will to become just like her predecessors. Perhaps, spite had brewed up from the back of her mind and driven her insane. Before she'd even realised what she had done, she had applied for UA and made it into the heroics department by sheer rescue points alone.[break][break]

When the letter arrived, some part of her absolutely reveled in the expressions around the table.

Her oldest memories would have been that of the backs of people and closed doors. Born as the second child of a then up and rising hero, Yuuma Kouji, Nadeshiko would often have found herself as a hot topic of discussion amongst the adults at the table - They had said it had been by her mother’s grace that she was part of the family, that her mother had grovelled at the feet of the man she knew as her father. They had said it had been by her father’s grace that she was where she was, that her father had in return sworn her mother to secrecy and banned her from establishing future contact with his family.[break][break]

They called her the Mistress’ child.[break][break]

From young, it had always been clear that she was in no way similar to her family. Pictures and portraits scattered about the Japanese-style mansion; None of the physical traits she displayed were shared by either parent, save for the dark yellow irises that she so shared with her father. Surely, it would have been awkward for the father to have explained the vast differences between child and parents, given that her older sibling had been a near carbon copy of his mother.[break][break]

A young father, a hero quickly rising through the ranks of veterans and making a name for himself amongst the top stars of the country - Tales of his goodwill could have spread but oh, the gossip that could have arisen must have been such a factor of fear for the man. And oh, how Mistress Fate must have condemned his actions that Nadeshiko would have inherited a quirk so wildly different from his own; He could not have passed it off as a mere variation. Paranoia would have taken roots with ease. With a quick tugging of strings and drawing upon of connections, Nadeshiko would have become the sickly daughter of famed hero specialist, Yuuma Kouji; a quirkless child who had to be sheltered for the sake of keeping her safe from villains seeking vengeance.[break][break]

Solitary would have been her bane - Stress built upon her barely-shaped mentality, breakdowns occurred more often than one would have expected, and yet the minor catastrophes would have been kept out of sight. Though kept relatively silent with bribes of stuffed toys, drawing papers and books, Nadeshiko would have spoken to her reflection more times than anyone could have counted, written herself letters as reminders of the things she had to do each day, stared out the window in hopes that someone would have appeared there and seen her. Whispers remained behind closed doors, people remained outside her confines of a room and the hopes that someone would have realised her existence lay painted upon the frames of that wooden door.[break][break]

Her quirk would have been assumed to be the root cause of her problems. As long as it didn’t show, she could have had a chance at pretending her way through situations that would put her father on the spot. As long as she played the part of a perfect daughter that Yuuma had fabricated, she wouldn’t have to stay in that room.[break][break]

But that door would remain shut.[break][break]

Of course, her father’s influence would have ensured that whatever was not willed by him would never happen. At least, until the public started questioning just what happened of her. Was it someone who knew of her existence beyond these walls? Or was it someone trying to nurture doubt against the nature of this rising hero? With society beginning to exert its weight against him, Yuuma would be forced to think of the unwanted child's future.[break][break]

And so, the little bird would be allowed a brief glimpse of the outside world, put on display at social gatherings if only for a few minutes or begrudgingly taken around by her older half-brother under the pretext of being kept safe. Soon enough, she'd be gathering the courage to ask for more: to go to the libraries, to walk in parks, to attend school like all other kids of her age did.[break][break]

In exchange, he'd steal her words. Even if life at home didn't quite resemble the things she'd be told out there, she'd have to keep her mouth shut and simply pretend - Nadeshiko Kouji, a once sickly child, a quirkless child but still a kid like any other.
